About the staff, the place and us
Thomas & Pascal
The Queen’s Head is a place where my passion for history, Britain and food come together. It all started years ago, when on a trip to Great Britain I was enchanted by the country’s rich culture, history and delicious cuisine. Inspired by this discovery, the idea was born to combine my two great loves – history and food – and create a unique culinary experience.

What does it mean to eat like a queen? Elizabeth I gorged herself on sugar, Mary on chocolate and Anne was known as ‘Brandy Nan’. Victoria ate all this and more and ushered in not only the industrial but also a food revolution.

In The Queen’s Head we try to answer that: I delved into old British recipes from different historical periods, from medieval banquets to Victorian tea hours and modern interpretations of classic dishes. Using the best ingredients and a touch of modern culinary techniques, I perfected each recipe.

But it’s not just about the food. My team of passionate waiters and waitresses are experts in Britain’s culinary history and are ready to entertain you with stories about the historical figures and events that inspired the dishes. Each dish has an associated story, giving you a deeper insight into the rich history of British food culture. I’m proud of my passion for history, Britain and food, and I hope you’ll share my enthusiasm when you visit us. The Queen’s Head is not just a place to eat; it is a timeless celebration of culinary art and history, where the ghosts of the past live on in every dish we serve.
I look forward to welcoming you soon and taking you on this special culinary journey.
